Indications

Side effects
Headache, nausea, upset stomach or vomiting, abdominal (stomach) pain, cramping, not feeling hungry, rash, or fever, decreasing sperm count, folic acid deficiency (will need to supplement), and discolored urine.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to sulfasalazine, its metabolites, sulfonamides, salicylates, or any component of the formulation, intestinal or urinary obstruction, and porphyria.
Safety information
Signs of allergic reaction, like face swelling, fainting, dizziness, hives, shortness of breath. Signs of kidney problems, signs of liver problems, feeling tired or weak, unexplained bruising or bleeding, shortness of breath, red, swollen or blistered skin.
